Have a look at professional websites, that do gaming things, but 550 pounds is  a bit ambitious for a gaming PC in terms of lowness in price, you might have to go above 700 pound.

Don't go with alienware. You might think they are good, but theres better. I would go on newegg.com and check out some lenovo gaming laptops. Not sure what you will get with your budget but thats your best bet.

I would recommend Toshiba

I have a Dell Precision m6800 for a laptop :P

I recommend a DELL: Here is what my laptops specs are:

Intel core i7 (Regular)
NVIDIA Quadro k6000
16GB of ram
CORSAIR Vengeance Performance Memory modual
Weight... About... 5-10 pounds...
screen size: 18"

General info: Runs MC at 300+ fps, shaders: 60-100... but costs like... 3k -_-
Motherboard... (dont know LOL)
400GB Hardrive :P

www.Dell.com or http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/precision-m6800-workstation/pd?~srd=true&sk=dell%20precision%20m68...

dats all you need :P
Workstation pc's are extremely overpriced if your primary use is gaming, particularly minecraft. Also, there is no such thing as a "regular" i7

The_Detonator_ October 11, 2014 at 12:10 PM UTC

regular intel core i7, I mean as in intel core i7 with no 4770k or dat crap.

And i have this workstation for Solidworks -.- my dad lets me use it until my desktop can be fixed... (the hardrive and the GPU are broken for some reason)..
But i totally agree :P
There is no such thing as a "regular" i7. $3000 is a long way off from the $880 asked for in the OP. If it fits your specific uses and not his specific uses, why are your recommending it to him? The thread is not asking "Brag about your computer here" it is asking, quite specifically for a maximum $880 laptop that will run minecraft. I really do not understand the logic you are using here, and you clearly have a limited knowledge on computers and computer parts as I have noticed in previous threads.

I can't believe Mojang used Alienware for their computers to use at Minecon 2013 T-T

_Phyre October 11, 2014 at 4:10 PM UTC

Just close to 800$ maybe you can still buy it? But im not sure it does have Intel Core i5-4200H 2.8 GHz Processor although i would want at least 3.0 GHz but i think it can still run it?

By regular he means non-overclockable.

I have an ASUS Computer with an Nvidia Geforce, so I suggest getting like a laptop form of that xD

I would recommend Toshiba
Toshiba laptops are shit, well, at least the ones Ive seen
I have a toshiba sattelite and it runs CS:GO at 20-30 frames on lowest settings (4:3, 800 x 600 quality).

Yup, definitely a gaming laptop -_-

I'd recommend getting one that has a solid state drive, at least 8gb of RAM,a decent graphics card, and at least a Core i5 or i7. The solid state drive really boosts FPS.
