Is OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) Safe?

I wanted to install it, but my Anti Virus picked it up as harmful. I searched online to see if it was safe, and most of them said it was, but not in a very direct way. Has any of you used OBS? If so, is it safe?
Also, OBS is basically a screen recording program.

I find OBS to be (imo) one of the best recording/streaming software out there, and it being free is a huge bonus.
