For the past 5 hours i have been trying to log on to minecraft... It always shows "Play offline" So i try it, to play on a server... It crashes all the time. If you have a similar problem, hope for the best :)

Minecraft.net and the Multiplayer session service is down. You can check to see the statuses of the game at help.mojang.com. Keep updated there. They're probably having a maintenance break or something, so don't be too worried.

The same for me i think the entire minecraft network is down, at least on the east coast, or they could just be updating to 1.8

GUYS 1.8 IS NOT COMING OUT! If 1.8 is coming out where is the pre-release? Plus if 1.8 Would come out we still wouldn't be able to play avicus. The plugins and stuff need to be updated. https://twitter.com/MojangSupport/statuses/494176651475828738 He isn't saying that 1.8 is coming out anyways. Its saying the Multiplayer session is down.

yup hence why when you first login to the launcher is says like amazonaws file or something.
