Dealing with Hackusations by StaticFaultz June 19, 2014 at 11:06 AM UTC

Hello, so recently my experience has been disrupted quite an absurd amount of times on Nebula. Many players have accused me of hacking. One player recently accused me of "knockback hacks"; something in which I don't have, and something that I assume doesn't exist anyway, as a moderator on OCN (it'd probably categorized as forcefield or something similar). Since I moderate so often, I get the tendency to tell that player off by saying "no, I don't have hacks" or "I strafed and block-hit you, thus I didn't get much knockback and because I strafed you, you backed up and I knocked you into the void" or something like that.

But then it'd probably stray into a bigger argument where players complain. So my question is; how do you ignore the tendency to reply to players accusing you of hacking?

It's quite funny really, to see people accuse you of hacks, don't let it get to you
just make a joke of it XD

I really don't see how it's. So "take it like a joke" is what you're suggesting?

Zedther June 19, 2014 at 11:06 AM UTC

Look, think about it...
They're just calling you on hacks, because they're raging
if you get hack accusations, your obviously good at pvp

Wow, I'm surprised that you of all people would make this thread, because all you do in game is call me a hacker...

The_Detonator_ June 19, 2014 at 11:06 AM UTC

I have actually seen what appear to be some form of knock back hacks. Once only, however. He knocked me back about 30 or so block in the space of about half a second, then anti heat pulled me back. But I am certain they exist to some, albeit limited degree.
As for hackusations, a /warn generally keeps them quiet.

Are you referring to Static?

I believe you are mistaking me with someone else. I don't remember calling anyone a hacker on this server. I said you looked like you were using aimbot on your thread because of the way your head moved.

No, I am not referring to the thread; it was in-game.
Maybe I am mistaking you with someone that has a similar name; my apologies if I am.

I just say to use /report if you think I hack and a mod will decide.

Hola June 19, 2014 at 11:06 AM UTC

I just don't care and continue playing

NewVoltdrive June 19, 2014 at 12:06 PM UTC

Say, "Thank you, my Nodus is looking sexy today."

ayy June 19, 2014 at 12:06 PM UTC

Shadowbladz June 19, 2014 at 12:06 PM UTC

*screencap* *put on profile*

Kidding, generally I laugh it off or report it if they're being really hostile n' shit.

fazer153 June 19, 2014 at 1:06 PM UTC

I usually don't care but when it gets like  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ge7EBZUhiCk
that, i start to get a little pissed off.

Joao_Victor June 19, 2014 at 4:06 PM UTC

Everyone gets hacksuated, it's not really a big deal, however, if it's becoming spam or harrasment, feel free to submit a screenshot of it in Player Reports or use /report.

Y0urm0m1 June 19, 2014 at 4:06 PM UTC

/ignore <player> maybe? idk if there is sucha command. i think there is.

Also, what NolanDalton Said. Everyone gets hacksusated. Even a guy like me. I mean, i suck at pvp and i tend to get hackusated. when i get hackusated i either ignore , say "Thanks they are sexy", or just /report or /ignore.

Being accused of hacks just means you're good.

Unless you actually hack...

TheOpAmerican June 19, 2014 at 6:06 PM UTC

if anyone here actually reads the rules it says hackusations are illegal .-.

San_David June 19, 2014 at 6:06 PM UTC

I tend to take it like a joke. Tell them you got your hacks off of eBay. :D

Kammeh June 19, 2014 at 6:06 PM UTC

I think that they are angry and want to take their anger out. I just say in my mind that they are calling me a hacker cause im just that good! lel
